Liven up your family’s healthy meals this summer using Sensational Soy.  After a long winter of soups, roasts and oven-baked casseroles, it’s time to introduce a refreshing and nutritional beverage that comes in handy for a variety of summer recipes.

The Sensational Soy Smoothie

What could be more refreshing than a perfectly chilled mixed-fruit smoothie on a hot summer’s day?  Better yet, there’s no need to buy one at the local ice cream parlour or convenience store because it’s easy to make right in your home kitchen. 

  1. Wash some raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries
    and add them into your blender. 
  2. Peel a banana and a mango, de-pit your mango and add both to your mix.
  3. Include a tablespoon of all natural peanut butter or almond butter.
  4. Add Sensational Soy beverage (choose from 5 flavours to get the taste you’re looking for)
  5. To make your smoothie nice and cold, add a few ice cubes or a couple of frozen berries.
  6. Blend away!

Soy yogourt from Sensational Soy

Make your own fresh soy yogourt from scratch.  Soy yogourt is an excellent summer snack with loads of nutritional benefit.  All you need is:

  • 1/2 cup soy yogourt with live cultures
  • 4 cups Sensational Soy Smooth Original or Classic Vanilla beverage– warmed
  • A whisk (make sure it is very clean since this is critical when you’re dealing with cultures)
  • An oven
  • Any jar or container with a lid (must be oven-friendly)

Now, set your oven to 100°F.  Heat your Sensational Soy beverage in the microwave until it’s warm.  Whisk together your warm Sensational Soy beverage and base yogourt (1/2 cup soy yogourt with live cultures) for about one minute, or until well blended.  Put the lid on your container and place it in your preheated oven.  You’re practically done!  Let the yogourt sit in your oven for about 8 hours.  Then remove it, and put it into an empty yogourt or other container and put it in your fridge to cool.  In the next couple of hours it will be ready to eat.

Ranch Salad Dressing Using Sensational Soy Milk

Excite your salads this summer with a sensational ranch dressing that tastes good and gives you a soy boost in the middle of the day.  The only ingredients you need are:

  • 1/4 cup Sensational Soy beverage
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp fresh chopped dill or 1/4 tsp dried dill

Whip up all ingredients in a blender or food processor.  Instead of a sandwich at lunch, prepare a salad with a variety of veggies and leafy greens.  Pour this tasty dressing on top and enjoy. 


Creamy Vegetable Primavera Pasta

Creamy doesn’t always mean more fattening – especially not when you’re cooking with Sensational Soy.  Add soy into your summer suppers with this yummy mix:

Boil noodles in one pot on your stove.  In a large saucepan, add some extra virgin olive oil and fry a few onions and mushrooms.  Add a couple tablespoons of pesto paste (1-4 according to how saucy you want your pasta to be).  After you’ve heated your pesto paste mix, add ¼ cup of Sensational Soy Smooth Original beverage.  Once hot, add your noodles into your saucepan and mix.  Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and serve this dish to the whole family.
